About Suburban Aviation Eagle Flight Center is located at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
The recruiter is responsible for the counseling and assisting of prospective students in choosing Eastern Michigan University Flight Technology. This individual must be able to effectively and positively promote the benefits of our program as well as guide potential students through the initial enrollment process. This position reports directly to the Chief Flight Instructor and works in cooperation with the Enrollment Coordinator.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Represent the Aviation Program at high schools, community colleges, public functions and university events to encourage enrollment of students
Develop and implement recruiting strategies to achieve enrollment goals
Develop and implement enrollment databases consisting of perspective, active, and inactive students; and any relative history
Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing on promotional activities, advertising campaigns, and web site development
Conduct campus tours and conference with prospective students and parents.
Communicate admission policies to students, parents, middle and high school principals, counselors and teachers, community college students, faculty, staff and administrators
Support the university community by attending functions and participating in planned activities
Perform other duties as delegated by the Chief Flight Instructor as they relate to recruiting/enrollment
Required:
Bachelors degree in Aviation Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field
2-3 years professional experience in recruiting, marketing, advertising, or related field
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Proficient knowledge of web site development, database management, and Microsoft Office
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Strong knowledge of the aviation industry
Experience in a collegiate flight program
Private Pilots License
