Responsibilities

Conducts investigations surrounding employee issues/concerns and coordinates process of responding to those issues/concerns. Responds to management inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs. Responsible for OSHA compliance in the unit. Coordinates H. R. related functions including Employee Appreciation Day, Employee of the Month, etc. Maintains communication link with local management and hourly workforce including postings on bulletin boards, briefings, policies and procedures, local Round table meetings. Conducts recourse hearings for suspended/terminated employees. Directly supervises the training program for the Honolulu kitchen. Represents company in unemployment hearings. Directly responsible for up-to-date and accurate governmental required documentation. Project team member for the Food Service Division. Overnight travel sometimes required.

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (5-year minimum) in Human Resources, education or related field. Must be able to develop effective working relationships and interface with all levels of the organization. Ability to pass a 10-year background clearance and FAA security access and US Customs. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Prior proven management, leadership experience, presentation skills and project management experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the U. S.  for any employer without sponsorship.
