Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the daily shift management as well as the safety of all terminal operations activities and personnel. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Operational This position manages baggage delivery, online and interline connecting baggage, baggage makeup, ramp operations, operations planning, and coordinates with ATO and NOCC to insure a positive customer experience. Administrative This position prepares and manages daily manpower, preplans based on staffing requirements, manages overtime, communicates with contract services, uses threat and error management, conducts incident analysis, and provides coaching and counseling to insure success of direct reports.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills are required (oral as well as written). Minimum of 5 years experience in airport operations is required. Knowledge of hub operations is preferred. Working knowledge of corporate policies and procedures is required Strong supervisory and leadership skills are required. Must understand system control, flight schedules, and aircraft routing. Bachelor's degree preferred. C ombination of education and work experience are acceptable. Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and SONIC are required. Must be flexible to work any shift including holidays and weekends. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship. Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position. Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances.
