Responsibilities

Responsible for the expeditious flow of aircraft to and from gates, ramp areas and non-movement areas. Coordinate with ATO Ramp Manager and Operations Controller as required to determine flights that require priority handling for optimum DOT performance or otherwise require special consideration. Must possess a good working knowledge of aircraft performance and ATO traffic flows. Additional duties include managing ground movement of aircraft eparation of departure fixes to the extent feasible to assist FAA Ground Control to expedite departure/maintain a constant vigilance of traffic flows and suggest appropriate actions. Must be able to perform multi-task operations and be accurate and effective in issuing verbal instructions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred: Associate degree and High School diploma accepted. Candidate must have at least two years experience in at least one of the following fields; Air Traffic Control (preferred); Airline Ramp Control; Airline Operational Control Center; Aircraft Dispatcher; Airline Pilot Experience. Previous VHF radio experience a plus. Must possess effective and diplomatic communication skills and be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Occasional overtime required. Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
