Responsibilities
Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of Employee Benefit Welfare & Retirement Programs, both domestically and internationally and includes: Medical, Dental, Life, Personal Accident, Long-Term Disability, 401(k)/Retirement/Non-Qualified Severance Plans, Flexible Spending Account and various international plans in Japan, the Philippines, Australia, and China. Provide direction and decision making for administration of all CMI domestic and international benefit plans including various health, welfare, and retirement plans including oversight of annual insurance negotiations and renewals. Resolve Participant questions and issues related to all benefit welfare & retirement plans. Responsible for maintaining operational and regulatory compliance for the qualified and international plans such as Plan Testing (non-discrimination, Section 415 limits & 410(b) tests). Coordinate and complete retirement plan projects with Corporate Legal, Payroll, and outside Counsel. Conduct Investment & Administrative Committee meetings as needed. Oversee all required government filings related to Benefit plans including the 5500's and distributions of SARs. Calculate quarterly 401(k) reconciliations and coordinate quarterly match for those employee groups having a match provision in the Plan. Document benefit administration practices and procedures, focusing on continuing improvement. Maintain, update, and coordinate vendor relationships to ensure administration accuracy, strong plan performance, regulatory compliance and cost containment. Assure through audits, reports, and personal expertise that company programs/practices are consistently administered in compliance with legal regulations and company policies. Resolve complex benefit issues in consultation with both internal sources and vendors. Incorporate changes to territorial, international, and US federal laws into benefits plans/programs. Oversee billings and payroll deductions for accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field required. Experience in auditing and maintaining retirement, health, & welfare plans. Experience overseeing multi-jurisdiction non-discrimination testing for 401(k) plan. Experience handling tax issues arising out of multi-jurisdiction 401(k) plan. Awareness of government & legal regulations pertaining to varied benefits and retirement programs, with an ability to incorporate requirements into programs. International benefits administration experience a plus. Understanding of payroll processing. Strong technical expertise and analytical ability, MS Access & Excel proficiency. Must possess comprehensive written & oral communication skills. Knowledge of benefit terminology, practices, and processes. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work with multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines. Commitment to customer service (internal & external customers).
