Responsibilities
Utilize analytical/technical skills to initiate plans and develop specifications involving basic design data, technical test equipment modifications, and equipment installation. Write engineering documents for product modifications, airworthiness compliance, repairs and program management on area of expertise. Multiple engineering responsibilities within aircraft interiors and aircraft interior systems as assigned. Interface with maintenance on troubleshooting procedures and support of light and heavy maintenance operations including substantiation of and preparing work instructions to repair, modify, and maintain aircraft interiors. Prepare technical drawings as required. Responsible for detailed project management of regular and special assignments. Interior Engineers are responsible for Seats, Galleys, Lavs, Bins, Waste/Water Systems, Emergency Equipment and Oxygen.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years aviation engineering experience. Thorough knowledge of FAR's (especially Part 25 and 121) is required. Demonstrated ability in aircraft interiors engineering and project management. Well developed communications skills (both written and verbal) and must be PC literate. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
