Responsibilities
Provide improvement in quality and performance while contributing to financial performance. Ensure safe work practices for all associates 'A safe place to work'. Establish decant and delivery process to ensure the customer's product is delivered on-time within established specifications. Scheduling, coordinating and communicating with employees, management and other departments as necessary to resolve problems as they occur; and adjust production as needed to meet necessary changes. Analyze work-flow and ensure work is distributed accordingly based on daily volume. Perform on various project teams which will contribute to the overall performance of the department. Support Supply Chain Optimization in performing analysis of warehouse distribution, product utilization, through processing and analyzing the operational data. Conduct miscellaneous kitchen process analysis and identify opportunities for optimization. Verifies food employees follow all recipe and portion controls correctly and according to menu specification. Ensures all recipes, food preparations and plate presentations meet specifications and commitment to quality. Participate in month-end inventory process. Ensures food quality by maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene and proper food handling techniques.
Qualifications
Experience with team management style, ability to proactively address conflict management and resolution. Ability to communicate, read and write English, bi-lingual a plus. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Good employee relations skills a must. Applicant must be a current student and at the end of their junior year by May 2008. Strong written and oral communication skills. Work experience with standard MS computer applications, including Word and Excel. Strong analytical skills. Extremely detail oriented with the ability to manage projects and processes and is able to work well with others in a team environment. Ability to turn around projects quickly and juggle several deadlines simultaneously. Previous experience in food service operations - storeroom functions is preferable. Ability to effectively interface with customers and all levels of CO personnel and management. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
