Degree(s), Certification, Professional Training or Skills Required:
•FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
•Two years aircraft maintenance experience in FAR Part 135 Air Carrier Operations or FAR 145 Repair Station records and inspection procedures
Job Description:
•The Conformity and Research Specialist reports to the Chief Inspector.
•The Conformity and Research Specialist is responsible for maintaining, and implementing Aircraft Audit and Conformity policies and procedures.
•Conduct systematic audits of aircraft, aircraft records and maintenance programs.
•Perform initial FAR 91 and 135 Aircraft Conformity Inspections.
•Perform new aircraft induction research and setup.
•Participate in providing Continuing Analysis and Surveillance for FAR 135 Operations.
•Coordinate with the Chief Inspector on all quality control issues, audits, conformity projects, and inspection policies and procedures.
•Assist in Quality Control Return to Service records review as needed.
•Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Inspector or his delegate.
•May be assigned additional duties by Chief Inspector.
Experience Desired:
•FAA Inspection Authorization
•2 years maintaining, inspecting turbine powered aircraft
•BS in aviation maintenance management or related field preferred
